Rommel Mercado has more than twenty-five years of law practice, principally engaged in corporate and commercial law transactions that include the preparation and negotiation of contracts involving acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and corporate finance for clients in various industries like energy, online commerce, business process outsourcing, manufacturing, aerospace, and state-owned enterprises.
Mr. Mercado has assisted clients from inception (investment planning) to dissolution and liquidation. Many of his clients have grown to involve thousands of employees and multi-billion investments in the Philippines. He has led legal teams in due diligence investigations and commercial transactions for international and domestic corporations.
He also performs corporate governance, corporate housekeeping, and compliance functions for various companies.
Prior to founding KMAPS Law, Mr. Mercado was a Senior Partner in one of the oldest law firms in the Philippines.
